    Other locations and postage due

Customs, Duty, VAT, and additional location-specific taxes and fees are common for imported items. These are location-specific, determined by your country or region's Customs, border services, or postal service, and are not paid through the Tophatter platform.

These types of taxes are presented with a "collect on delivery" or "postage due" card or label from the delivery carrier, which must be paid upon pick-up or delivery of each order. These taxes are the responsibility of the shopper and are not charged by, and cannot be reimbursed by Tophatter in any event, such as if the order is returned for refund.

We recommend familiarizing yourself with your local import laws and potential location-specific taxes and fees before shopping on Tophatter.

Customs require merchants to quote each item's actual value, and we cannot provide order-specific advice regarding Customs, Duty, VAT, and additional location-specific taxes or fees. If you have questions about a tax or fee incurred, please consult your local post office or tax authority.

    • If you are in the US and receive a "postage due" package, please contact our support team.

    Tax Exemption

    • If you have a valid personal or business tax exemption, please contact our support team and provide a copy of your exemption certificate before making a purchase.
    Re-sellers
Please note, Tophatter is an online marketplace connecting merchants and shoppers. We don't sell items ourselves; we rely on merchants to ensure listings are accurate and orders are shipped carefully and arrive on time. We welcome all shoppers, but would like to highlight the following:
    • We offer Buyer Protection on all Marketplace Product purchases, which guarantees items are confirmed delivered to the address provided within 60 days of purchase, or they are eligible for a full refund.
    • Our Easy Returns policy allows the return of most items for a refund for any reason for up to 30 days from delivery, which is enough time for a retail customer to ensure the quality of their purchases.
    • Items are not sold on our platform at wholesale prices or quantities.
Tophatter is designed for the individual consumer shopper; policies are not conducive to a resale timeline. We encourage re-sellers to shop with wholesalers designed for this purpose. Please review our Buyer Terms of Use for complete details.
