What if my account is suspended?

If your account has been suspended, you will no longer be able to purchase items. If attempting to bid, you will receive the message  Error 103: We are unable to complete this transaction. Please contact customer service.  

You will still be able to manage account details, view and track your orders, including requesting returns and reporting late deliveries in accordance with our Buyer Protection.

Shopper accounts may be blocked from additional purchases or suspended for the following reasons:

  • An unauthorized purchase has been reported
  • We have received one or more unauthorized chargebacks
  • Our support team has asked you to refrain from using abusive, hateful, or threatening language
  • The account refund and or return rate exceeds a threshold that is determined to be excessive
  • Tophatter in good faith suspects abuse of refunds under our Buyer Protection policies
  • We have requested additional information to verify the ownership of the account
  • Our system has detected that the account or associated accounts may be bypassing account restrictions or thresholds, including but not limited to:
    • referring yourself or someone who shares the same payment method, location, or device for Tophatter Credit;
    • abusing offers or features for Tophatter Credit;
    • farming Points;
    • shill bidding, or intentionally raising the price of an item without intent to purchase it;
    • collusion with another account for any purpose;
    • creating multiple accounts
  • Any other violations of Terms of Use
